The name “the Olive” is taken from the Bible. The olive was one of the most valuable trees to the ancient Hebrews. It is first mentioned in Scripture when the dove returned to Noah’s ark carrying an olive branch in its beak (Gen.8:11).

“Solus Enim Deus”
The motto is stated in latin and can be translated as “For God Alone”
We believe that the chief end of man as drawn from scripture is to “Glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.”
By this we recognise that we were created by God and we ought to live solely for Him who created us. All we do, we do it for God. Not just as our first consideration but as the only one.
